TEACHING WORKSHOPS
WRIT 7101- Spring, 2021: A six-week course that explored dimensions of writing and teaching that are not typically taught as part of graduate student training. Meeting weekly, the class discussed strategies for inclusive classroom discussion, effective grading, developing students’ writing skills, and addressing various situations from our own teaching experiences.
Teaching and Learning in the Diverse Classroom, Fall 2020: A four-week virtual teaching course hosted by the Cornell Center for Teaching Innovation that discussed frameworks for creating an inclusive classroom. The course explored the role of social identities in the classroom and surveyed evidence-based strategies for facilitating a positive learning environment.
